This event that includes time with the goats, the yoga session, and at the end, time for photo opportunities with the goats and the babies. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the growing Goat Yoga craze! Those cute goat babies will steal your heart for sure! Ages 12-109 are welcome!
The Yoga Class: This is a one hour yoga exercise class for people of all yoga experience levels including people who have never before tried yoga. We will focus on stretching and a very light workout and having fun with the goats.
What to Bring: Bring a yoga mat and towel along with comfortable yoga clothes that you won’t mind if they get stepped on, chewed on or pooped cute little pellets, on by the baby goats and their mommas. We will also have a few yoga mats available at no charge as long as supply lasts.
The Instructor: Julia Shewchuk is the owner of Serenity Acres and Mom to all the goats. She’s also been a certified (IDEA, AFAA) exercise instructor for over 20 years of her life which included yoga instruction, step classes, aerobics, and water exercise. She is still exercising to this day for a healthy body and healthy mind.
Keep in Mind: This yoga event is held with live goats. While they are tame and friendly, there is still a possibility that they will nibble your hair, shirt, shoes, or even yoga mat. They may climb on top of you, paw at you or even pee or poo right next to you. We will not be responsible for any barnyard behavior that may lead to the damage of your property. If it is valuable or brand new, please leave it at home or locked in your car. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver must be signed before joining the event.
Age: This event is for anyone older than 12, and younger than 109.
Weather: Weather permitting, the class will be held outside, so please dress appropriately. In case of bad weather, we will reserve the right to set a rain date.
